BrainTrainerPlus™ stimulates cognitive capabilities and memories for the aged and people with starting dementia

The BrainTrainerPlus™ is a recreative portal designed to stimulate cognitive capabilities and memories for the aged through the power of games. It was initially created in the Netherlands by a concerned son for his mother, who had recently been placed into an aged care facility.
Our story
He did not want her to be bored. He wanted her to remember what she was slowly forgetting, and he wanted something they could play together during his visits. BrainTrainerPlus™ was created based on theories citing benefits of play therapy for people with dementia, Alzheimer’s, depression and lack of intellectual stimulus.
BrainTrainerPlus™ has established itself as a beneficial tool for clients and support workers by inducing interaction, cognitive action and entertainment. It primarily aims to dust off the blanket of boredom that can persist in aged care facilities while enabling and entertaining the minds of residents.
Meaningful activities, also in groups
BrainTrainerPlus™ can be connected to an external screen for group activities, while also supporting one-to-one or independent play.
A varied range of aged care activities
Games, quizzes, music and memory activities offer approachable ways to stimulate residents and create positive shared moments.
Valuable for different care needs
Although designed for people with early dementia, BrainTrainerPlus™ can also support people with other cognitive or motor challenges.
Create your own Quiz and Life Story
Families and staff can add personal questions, regional memories, photos and other material to make activities more meaningful.
A personal life story can grow over time with photos, music and captions, creating moments of reminiscence and connection.
